On Ellary Estate it is possible to buy permits to fish the Lochead Burn (salmon & seatrout) as well as trout fishing in as many as 20 hill lochs. Some of the Lochs are very easily accessible and some involve a bit of a walk. Sea fishing is free and saithe, leithe, rock salmon, cuddies and mackerel can be caught from the shore although better sport is available if you have a boat.
